Tracked products and settings
Product URLs, titles, selected price elements, price history, folders and settings are stored in your browser. Tracking contacts the websites you selected. You can delete items, export a backup or clear extension storage. Backup files can include product URLs and your configured email address; keep them private.

Optional email alerts and sharing
If you enable email alerts, the delivery service receives the destination email, product name, URL and price-change information needed to send the alert. If you choose to share an item or list, the content you select (titles, product links, saved prices, optional price history, group names and tags) can be seen by anyone who has the link or image. Do not share private product pages or information you do not want recipients to see.

Shared links
A shared snapshot is stored on our server only when you press "Create share link". It gets a short address (pricetrackerextension.com/s/...) and a preview image for social networks. Stored links are deleted automatically after 12 months, and you can delete any of your links earlier in extension Settings under Share & copy a list. Shared pages are not listed in search engines. To limit spam, link creation is rate-limited using a salted, daily-changing hash of your IP address; these counters are removed after two days and the IP address itself is not stored. We count how often each shared page is opened, without recording who opened it.

Premium and payments
PayPal processes payments. We do not receive or store your card number or PayPal password. Our server stores payment transaction identifiers, the selected plan and amount, payment verification status, and the activation code and its usage/expiry status. These records let us verify purchases, avoid duplicate fulfillment, restore purchase receipts and provide support. The extension sends its activation code to verify Premium; activation may also include the extension ID. PayPal sends payment notifications to our server; payment fields are used for verification, and the notification's full payload and payer email are not stored by the new IPN handler. Payment records are separate from the optional usage counters below and are retained for purchase support and reconciliation.

Optional anonymous usage sharing (updated alpha)
Usage sharing is OFF by default. You can enable or disable it in extension Settings under Optional usage sharing. When enabled, the extension sends only a fixed event name (first item added, item added, Premium opened, checkout clicked or trial started), the alpha channel label and, where applicable, the selected Premium plan to pricetrackerextension.com. It does not send product URLs, titles, prices, browsing history, emails, activation codes or persistent user/device IDs as analytics. Events are counted by UTC day, source, event and plan; these aggregate counters are retained for 180 days. Disabling sharing stops future event submissions; previously aggregated events cannot be associated with a person for individual deletion. Old events are not uploaded when you enable sharing. Local health statistics remain local and have a separate setting.

Website operational counters
We also count website checkout page visits, payment errors and Premium verification errors in aggregate to understand service reliability. Checkout page visits are counted once per checkout session and plan. Payment totals come from verified payment records, not browser-reported analytics. These counters do not contain product browsing information or persistent analytics IDs and are retained for 180 days.

Hosting and providers
Requests to our website and service providers necessarily expose network information such as IP address and request headers to those services. Hosting and security systems may retain their own access/security logs; the aggregate analytics described above do not store IP addresses. PayPal and the hosting/email providers process data to supply their services. We do not sell your data or use the optional usage counters for advertising.

Controls and contact
You can turn off optional usage sharing and email alerts, delete tracked products, clear local data or uninstall the extension.
